Welcome to TelaLoc ("we", "our", or "us"). TelaLoc is a location-sharing and safety alert application that helps you stay connected with your loved ones and notifies your trusted contacts in the event of an emergency, accident, or mishap while travelling.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding that information. By using TelaLoc, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

To deliver our safety and connectivity features, TelaLoc collects the following types of data:

• Live GPS Location — Real-time and background location data to track your whereabouts and detect potential mishaps or route anomalies.
• Name & Phone Number — Used to create your profile and identify you to your trusted circle.
• Contacts — To allow you to add trusted family members or friends as your emergency contacts within the app.
• Personal Information — Basic account details such as email address and profile picture.
• Camera & Media — Camera access may be used for profile photo upload or to capture and share evidence in an emergency. Media access allows you to upload photos from your device gallery.

• Provide live location sharing with your trusted circle of contacts.
• Detect accidents, mishaps, or unusual travel situations and send emergency alerts.
• Enable emergency contacts to view your safety status in real-time.
• Maintain and manage your user account and profile.
• Improve app performance, fix bugs, and enhance safety features.
• Send you push notifications related to safety alerts and app updates.
• Comply with applicable Indian laws and legal obligations.

We use the following trusted third-party services to power TelaLoc. These services may receive certain user data as necessary to function:

• Google Maps API — For real-time map display, location pinpointing, and route tracking. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Firebase (Google LLC) — For authentication, real-time database, push notifications, and crash analytics. Governed by Firebase's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the above services to operate core app functionality.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and Firebase's secure authentication to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Access: You can view all personal data stored in your TelaLoc profile at any time.
• Correction: You can update or correct your personal information from within the app settings.
• Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time via the app's "Delete Account" option or by emailing us. Data will be erased within 30 days of your request.
• Location Permissions: You can revoke location access at any time through your device settings, though this will disable core safety features.
• Camera/Media Permissions: These can be toggled on or off in your device settings at any time.

TelaLoc is designed for all age groups, including families with children. However, we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 without verified parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at telalocindia@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete that data promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and notify you via push notification or email. Continued use of TelaLoc after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
